Natalie is an arts education consultant and project manager with over fifteen years experience of working with museums, galleries, festivals, touring exhibitions and national and local partnership programmes.
Natalie has held various senior positions in major arts organisations across the UK. From 2010 to 2015 Natalie was Head of Learning at The Hepworth Wakefield. As a key member of the inaugural senior management team, Natalie established the Learning department, overseeing recruitment and devising and implementing The Hepworth Wakefield’s award-winning engagement programmes. Natalie also contributed to senior level discussions regarding mission, values and branding ahead of the launch of this major new venue. In 2018, Natalie headed up the Learning team at Yorkshire Sculpture Park on an interim basis, providing vital team, budgetary and funding support at a period of transition.
Natalie has substantial experience of establishing and nurturing local and national partnerships. As the National Community Coordinator for the British Art Show 8 (2015-17), Natalie developed the first national learning programme to accompany this major Hayward Touring exhibition.
Since 2016, Natalie has worked on a part-time basis as Learning & Outreach Manager, National Partners Programme for the Arts Council Collection – the largest loan collection of British art. In this role, Natalie works with partner venues across the UK to develop innovative learning programmes and to raise awareness of the “people’s collection”.
Natalie is a Trustee of Engage – the lead advocacy and training network for gallery education. She is also an Associate of IVE, responsible for the establishment of Wakefield’s Local Cultural Education Partnership (LCEP) and for establishing a cultural consortium to deliver high quality arts and cultural provision for the Wakefield District.
