Growing Colour Together – WOVEN’s Natural Dyeing Project
Growing Colour Together
Growing Colour Together is a core project for WOVEN in 2023, and it’s more than a project – it’s a MOVEMENT! A movement with the ambition to create a district-wide, natural-dye colour garden.
Working in partnership across the district we want to give everyone the opportunity to ‘have a grow’, use what’s grown to make natural dyes, and learn about the environmental implications of chemical dyes.
We have received Arts Council England funding to set up artist residency schemes across three areas of Kirklees to help everyone get growing, making, creating and debating!
We’ve also set up a Growing Colour Together Network. to showcase all the amazing work.
