WOW Rotherham
WOW Festival is a celebration of women, girls and non-binary people, taking a frank look at what prevents them from achieving their potential, raising awareness globally of the issues they face and discussing solutions together.
Nat worked in Rotherham in 2022 to help set up the WOW festival, working closely with Rotherham Event Team and Flux Rotherham. She mentored and worked with three Community Producers to develop the WOW festival and programme, in line with what the community said they wanted to see.
We then supported the team to develop the learning into the festival in 2023, with one community producer supporting a team of young producers. The festival is now supported year-round by a WOW festival member of staff.
